When you start playing Texas Holdem poker in Party Poker, in the beginning of the game two blinds are paid by the two players to the left of the dealer. These two blinds are called the "small blind" and the "big blind". In online poker when the blind bets are posted, the player to the left of the big blind is the first to act. Each player can call the bet, raise or fold.

When you play online poker and the first betting round is completed, three of the five community cards are dealt face up on the table. After that there is another round of betting. Next, the fourth card is turned face up and another betting round takes place. The fifth and last community card is drawn and the final round of checks, folds, calls and raises takes place.
